My Summer Makeup Routine

It is fairly common for people to transition from one routine to the other when seasons change. Whether it’s from a rich moisturizer to a lighter one, red lipstick to pink or black eyeliner to brown. My personal routine goes from full coverage glam to light and glowy. Here are some of my favourite products to achieve that!

The Base

This is my favourite sunscreen of ALL time! I wear this one every day (yes, even in the winter). I like that it has a tint because it evens out my skin tone without needing to actually apply foundation.

It is lightweight and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy. If you are on the hunt for a new sunscreen, give this one a try!

If you are looking for something with enough coverage

to even your skin tone, that isn’t quite a foundation this is the one! I got the Purlisse BB cream in a Boxy Charm monthly box last year and it’s been my Go-To ever since!

This BB cream is the perfect amount of coverage for summer days AND it has SPF 30+ (YASS). I have recommended this one to many people in the last year and I will continue to do it!

The Face

Since I’ve transitioned to all cream products this summer, that includes bronzer! For the last few months, I cannot stop using the Maybelline Fit Me foundation stick. It is a matte finish, and the shade, “Toffee,” is the perfect shade to contour and bronze.

I KNEW I was going to love these before I even touched them. You guys, these cream blushes from Sunnies Face are amazing! My favourite shades are “Biscuit” and “peachy.” You can get these on the Bebot Beauty website, AND you can use the code FACETREAT10 to get 10% off.

An oldie, but a goodie! The milk makeup Lip and Cheek sticks are easy to use and a stunning formula. I use this one when I need something quick and effortless. My favourite way to apply it is to just draw a line on my cheek where I want it and blend it with a sponge or a flat foundation brush.

The Lips

I love a good stain when you don’t want to worry about touch-ups throughout the day. When I first tried these, I was hesitant because my experience with lip stains in the past was DRYYYY. These go on with a balmy texture then dry down to a transfer-proof colour (without the crusty dryness).

My favourite shade so far is Peached, it’s great on the lips and cheeks! Again, you can use the code FACETREAT10 to get 10% off when you support your local ladies in business on the Bebot Beauty website!

Okay, this is a good one. I got the Kulay Tinted Lip balm set and I haven’t stopped using them. These come in a range of shades from bold reds to nudes. Don’t let the name fool you though, these babies have PIGMENT. They also aren’t shiny or slippy like your average tinted lip balm. I actually find them to be more of a satin finish, so they actually last on the lips.

If you give these a try, send me a message and let me know how you like them!
